Tastebuds

Tastebuds is one of Saskatoon’s community coffee houses, tucked into the middle of a neighbourhood over by the Exhibition area. Known by its unique pink stucco, Tastebuds is one of the places I frequent with my friends on a regular basis.

Tastebuds

Tastebuds carries a full range of coffees, teas and other beverages. Sandwiches and soups are also available daily as well as a full line of dessert items. My favourite has to be the bread pudding which is extremely cheap for the huge portion sizes ladled out. It’s complemented with a sticky caramel sauce that my mouth waters for just thinking about.

Counter Area at Tastebuds

The main sitting area is sunken from the counter space and features a fireplace and art from local painters. There is also a glassed off room that your group can use if you want a little privacy or if you’re a little noisy and want to shield others from your laughter (speaking from personal experience). In the summer, a small patio allows customers to sip their ice teas or enjoy an ice cream cone out in front on cement tables.

Main Sitting Area

Tastebuds isn’t pretentious in any way and is one of my favourite places to hang out with friends in Saskatoon.

I’ve thought about going there before. When I lived in that area I drove past there a lot on the way home from different places. Maybe I’ll try it out in the next couple of months. :)

You should check it out. It has a nice community feel to it and is a great place to stop for a coffee and dessert.
